Frasers Hospitality Trust’s Investor Presentation: 18 Numbers Investors Should Know

Frasers Hospitality Trust  (SGX: ACV) gave a presentation to investors in Taiwan on 21 February 2017.

The stapled trust, which owns 15 properties located across eight cities in Asia, Australia, and Europe, shared the slide deck it had used. Here are 18 numbers from the slides that can help investors understand the trust.

I mentioned earlier that Frasers Hospitality Trust is a stapled trust. It’s called as such because it consists of both a real estate investment trust and business trust.

The trust’s sponsor is Frasers Centrepoint Limited (SGX: TQ5), a real estate developer and investor. Frasers Centrepoint effectively owns 61% of Frasers Hospitality Trust. Frasers Centrepoint has a market capitalisation of $4.7 billion (as of 31 January 2017), total assets worth $24 billion, and a presence in 26 countries and 82 cities.

Meanwhile, Frasers Hospitality Trust has a market cap of around $1.22 billion.

Frasers Hospitality Trust may be listed in Singapore, but its properties are located in nine different cities in eight different countries. Its 15 properties provide over 3,900 rooms and are valued at around $2.3 billion.

Australia is a major contributor to the trust’s portfolio. The country accounts for 44% of the trust’s gross rental and 40% of the trust’s net property income (NPI). This is followed by Singapore, which accounts for 19% of gross rental and 20% of NPI. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom contributes 14% each of gross rental and NPI, and Japan makes up 14% of gross rental and 15% of NPI.
