Welcome to Monday! Here are three things about Singapore’s stock market and investing in general that you might want to look at today and over the rest of the week.

1. Billionaire investor Warren Buffett is one of the world’s wealthiest men. How did he do it? You can find out more in here.

2. My colleague David Kuo had recently sat down with Vasu Menon from Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp Limited (SGX: O39) to chat about what investors should do about the upcoming elections in the US. Menon is a vice president at Singapore’s second largest bank by assets. Jump in here for their chat!

3. Piyush Gupta, chief executive of DBS Group Holdings Ltd (SGX: D05), was asked at a recent investing seminar what he thinks are the big worries that investors may have with his bank. The bank has exposure to the oil & gas industry, which is facing very tough conditions given the sharp decline in oil prices seen since mid-2014.

My colleague Chin Hui Leong had recently shared seven things investors should note about the bank’s exposure to the oil & gas industry – find out more here.
