3 Things You Need To Know About the Singapore Stock Market Today

Welcome to Friday evening! Here are three things about the Singapore stock market and investing in general that you might want to look at today and over the weekend.

1. There are more than 100 companies listed in Singapore that can be categorised as large-cap stocks. Yet, there are only about 10 with market caps of over S$10 billion. Want to find out more about the S$10-billion club? Check out my colleague Chin Hui Leong’s take on this exclusive group of stocks.

2. Talking about large-cap stocks, there’s a major blue chip stock in Singapore that has been buying back its own shares lately. James Yeo, another of my fellow Fools, had shared about the company. Jump in here for more.

3. When we invest in a company, what are we actually buying? Many investors are not aware that we have rights, even as a minority shareholder. This is a topic I had discussed earlier today –find out more about your rights as a shareholder here.
