3 Things You Need To Know About the Singapore Stock Market Today

Welcome to Monday evening! Here are three things about Singapore’s stock market and investing in general that you might want to take a look today and over the rest of the week.

1. One topic that has likely been of interest to many investors in Singapore is the potential entry of a fourth telco in the telecommunications industry and how that would affect the incumbents which include StarHub Ltd (SGX: CC3) and Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SGX: Z74). One of my fellow Fools, Lawrence Nga, had taken a look at the matter earlier today. Check out his thoughts right here.

2. It has been eight years or more since the Great Financial Crisis struck. In the aftermath of the crisis, the U.S. government had set up a committee to investigate its causes. One of the people that the committee had interviewed to get some insight from was billionaire investor Warren Buffett. The interview had taken place in 2010, but a transcript was only recently released. I had spent time reading the entire thing and had shared my favourite parts. Jump in here for more!

3. Banks can be complicated creatures to analyse. Last week, my colleague Esjay had shared some important ratios about banks that investors may want to know about. You can find out more in here.
