3 Things You Need To Know About the Malaysia Stock Market Today

Welcome to Thursday evening! Here are three things about Malaysia’s stock market and investing in general that you might want to look at today and over the rest of the week.

1. Genting Malaysia Bhd (KLSE: 4715.KL) and Genting Singapore PLC (SGX: G13) are both majority-owned by their parent Genting Berhad (KLSE: 3182.KL). The interesting thing is that both Genting Malaysia and Genting Singapore are companies that focus on the gaming industry. How do the two companies’ business fundamentals compare? I’ve taken a look at that recently, so you can find out more here.

2. PETRONAS is the national oil and gas company of Malaysia. The company also has multiple subsidiaries that are listed on Bursa Malaysia, the stock exchange of Malaysia. One such company is Petronas Chemical Group Berhad (KLSE: 5183.KL). In fact, Petronas Chemical Group is also one of the largest companies in Bursa Malaysia. My colleague David Kuo had recently taken a look at three things investors may want to know about the company. Here they are.

3. Top Glove Corporation Bhd (KLSE: 7113.KL) is currently the largest glove manufacturer in the world. Interestingly, the firm’s planning a secondary listing in Singapore’s stock market by way of introduction. I’ve dug into this development recently, so learn more about it here.
