Best and Worst Shares in the Straits Times Index for the Week

StockMarketBoardThe Straits Times Index (SGX: ^STI) finally ended its 8-day losing streak on Friday, but still ended at 3,066 points for a 1.6% weekly drop. It wasn’t alone in making losses for the week though.

Here’s how some of its Western peers did:

Coming back to our local market, here are the three best performing shares among the index for the week:

1. SIA Engineering Company (SGX: S59) moved up 1.7% to S$4.86

2. Golden Agri-Resources (SGX: E5H) inched up 0.9% to S$0.55

3. SembCorp Marine (SGX: S51) is up 0.7% to S$4.35

Here’s the three worst performing shares:

1. City Development (SGX: C09) slipped 3.4% to S$9.47

2. Olam International (SGX: O32) is down 3.4% to S$1.435

3. Singapore Technologies Engineering (SGX: S63) fell 3.1% to S$3.78
